The business was started in 2007 by two brothers who have both turned their backs on successful careers to return home to Wales and realise their vision through newReD.
Steve has worked for a number of years as an oak framer, Dan after a city career trained under a master furniture maker in Devon. Both have pursued furniture making as a sideline for some years and have a passion for local heritage and sustainability.
They have a keen eye for sound, sensible design and with the encouragement of friends and family have decided to set up newReD. To Steve and Dan, newReD is more of a lifestyle concept than a business.
