newReD was started in 2007 by two brothers who both turned their backs on previous careers to return home to Wales and realise their ambitions of working for themselves with our native oak.
Dan left a city career to train under a master furniture maker in Devon. Steve learned his trade as an oak framer across the border before joining his brother in setting up newReD. Steve has gone on to establish Gower Oak Framing and is building a great reputation with his work. Both have been keen to combine their business interests with a passion for local heritage and sustainability.
newReD has been fortunate to employ the services of some talented and experienced cabinet makers in recent years.
South African Michael has brought his considerable experience over the last couple of summers to create some beautiful traditional Welsh pieces.
French Mickael is currently with us on sabbatical from his employer back home where he produces furniture of the finest quality for clients across Europe.
